I first met Brandy in 2005 through church friends during my freshman year of college. During the next four years we found ourselves in the same circle of close friends who did pretty much everything together. I knew her before Lane came along, but now I can't imagine them apart. It's a cliche, but I think cliches are based on some level of reality- Brandy and Lane are two people that were made for each other.
Brandy is one of the most inspirational people I've ever met. During the early years of our friendship she experienced some incredible shake ups in her family, leading to some complications in her pursuit of her secondary education. An undergrad degree that was supposed to take four years ended up taking twelve, navigating her way through the educational system as she faced family complications, worked full time, fell in love, married Lane, adopted a puppy and a cat, bought a house, and created a really cool life with her best friend. Although my wife did not go to college with us, Brandy and Lane have become one of our favorite couples to spend time with, always picking the friendship up right where it left off. When given the opportunity to celebrate Brandy accomplishing her educational goals, we were honored to capture some images of her and Lane.
Below are some of our favorite images; of special note are the ones of her sitting on the steps of Welch Hall, the building where she had her very first college class in the Fall of 2005.- J
